Airinspace - HPV System
The principle of the airinspace® HPVPA system is to diffuse a dry and cold hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid solution called X-CID, which is ready-to-use. In acting as a non-specific oxidizer, this biocide solution destroys bacteria, spores, fungi and yeasts, viruses and mycobacteria, including tubercle bacillus. Furthermore, it is fast-acting.
Hydrogen peroxide is a powerful bactericide agent as long as it is used in high concentrations and heated to a temperature of at least 60°C. However, it acts slowly and its action is limited to spores, yeasts, and fungi. Furthermore, using it at high concentrations (e.g. 25 to 40%) has been frequently associated with surface degradations, specifically, paint and coatings used in hospital settings.
The X-CID stabilized solution with a low hydrogen peroxide concentration is boosted by the addition of peracetic acid. Therefore, it is less toxic for humans and less aggressive on equipment. It maintains surfaces while exceeding NF-T 72 281 standard requirements (Ed. 2009 and 2014) for all microorganisms, including spores, whose high resistance is well known. It is compatible with surface, textile and electronic device materials.
Surface disinfection using the HPVPA procedure helps reinforce bio-cleaning. Because the active ingredient is evenly distributed in a dry fog using our RHEA Compact and RHEA Titan units, it reaches all surfaces, even those that are difficult to access: ceilings, the upper part of walls, light strips, under beds, tables or chairs.
