The battery pack provide a power able to support stand-by, movement and emission of X-rays for a longer period than adequate to hospital requirements. The fully charged battery supports several kilometers move and hundreds of daily exposures; the LED bar indicates the amount of charge remaining so the operator can take immediate action and place the unit under charge (through a standard wall outlet).
