Angel -Inferior Vena Vava Filter and Central Venous Catheter System
The Angel Catheter is an IVC filter permanently attached to a triple lumen central venous catheter. The smart, elegant design of the Angel Catheter provides critical care physicians and their patients with prophylactic PE protection and guarantees IVC filter retrieval, a game changing promise that no other IVC filter can make. As the first and only IVC filter to receive FDA clearance for a prophylactic use indication, the Angel Catheter provides immediate and effective PE protection during a critical and frequently untreated window for critically ill patients.
The Angel Catheter allows for bedside placement with no need to move the patient to an endovascular suite. Following placement of the Angel Catheter, proper positioning of the filter can be confirmed via an abdominal radiograph (KUB). After the KUB the filter can be repositioned as needed.
The Angel Catheter is also intended to provide access to the central venous system for recognized standard clinical indications.
The elegant design of the Angel Catheter provides critical care physicians and their patients with prophylactic PE protection and guarantees IVC filter retrieval, a game changing promise that no other IVC filter can make. Optimal removal is done under fluoroscopy in the endovascular suite using a cavogram to identify potential thrombus.
