The L5 Laser platform by Access Laser is designed for high-demand industrial environments, primarily for marking and coding printed circuit boards. Originally fan-cooled, the L5 can be adapted to water cooling for other high-performance tasks. Features include acousto-optic modulation, enhanced linear polarization, and optical flexibility. It supports output wavelengths between 5.1–5.8µm or 9.0–11.4µm, depending on the gas mixture used. The platform allows for operational versatility with duty cycle adjustments and pulse repetition frequencies ranging from 100Hz to 100kHz. Gas life can reach up to 20,000 hours, with simple refills restoring performance. Designed to meet regulatory compliance for use in medical workstations, the L5 also offers customization options like wavelength-selective grating and power stabilization, making it highly adaptable for various industrial and research applications. This system addresses specific needs without being suitable for bulk metal processing or automotive LiDAR applications. It is best suited for OEM applications and with an expected service turnaround of two to four weeks.
