In Vitro：β-Boswellic acid (0-34 μM, 120 min) inhibits DNA, RNA and protein synthesis of HL-60 cells in a dose-dependent manner[2].
In Vivo：β-Boswellic acid (1-20 mg/kg, p.o., daily for 21 days) lowers the blood glucose level, reverses Streptozotocin (STZ) (HY-13753)-mediated bodyweight reduction and reduces the levels of TC, TGs, LDL cholesterol and the serum SGPT, SGOT, ALP and serum creatinine in STZ-induced diabetic rats[4].
