Promaxo - MRI System
The Promaxo MRI system is an open MRI system to image the internal structures of the body. The system is designed for a physician`s office without considerable facility upgrades. With a limited footprint and fringe field, the system can be easily moved and placed inside a standard office. The system consists of a magnet cart housing the magnet, gradient coils, and radiofrequency (RF) coil, and an auxiliary rack housing the electronics and electrical components.
The Promaxo System: Advancing MR Imaging Through Multiple Leaps in Technology
The Promaxo MRI System uniquely combines a number of technologies and pushes the boundaries of medical imaging by encapsulating the high-quality MR imaging into a small form-factor with low magnetic field.
Novel Magnet Formfactor
An array of large number of magnets placed in an optimized arrangement that provides a field of view with predefined characteristics outside the magnet
Fast Imaging Gradients
Low magnetic field allows faster magnetic field gradients, and thereby, fast MR data collection without causing any nerve stimulation
Variable Tuned RF Pseudobirdcage Coil
The variable tuned RF coil allows a greater flexibility and control over the RF pulse sequences proprietary to Promaxo`s system while the pseudobirdcage arrangement allows a unique geometry for placement of patients in the field of view.
Proprietary Sampling and Reconstruction
Hybrid compressed-sensing techniques and a unique non-Fourier reconstruction method eliminate need for high field strength and uniform magnetic field
Fast Pulse Sequences
Promaxo system utilizes fast RF pulses without causing any peripheral nerve stimulation or tissue heating due to low main field and a focused imaging region.
The Promaxo MRI system has been designed to be very user-friendly. A single-key operation turns the system ON. The system software has an easy to use widget based touch-screen graphical user interface. There is no need to adjust large number of parameters every time as most common imaging sequences are already optimized and programmed into the system. Simply, select the image sequences needed and press a button. All the data is saved on a HIPAA compliant cloud server for easy back-up and retrieval.
- A straightforward and easy to use interface
- Pre-programmed pulse sequences for common imaging
- Backup data on HIPAA compliant cloud server and access anytime
Promaxo`s modular MRI system has a small form factor and has low magnetic field strength in the imaging region. This allows fast RF pulses and strong field gradients without causing peripheral nerve stimulation. Further, the tissue heating is minimal and well below the safety thresholds.
Using a novel combination of linear and genetic optimization algorithms, the Promaxo MRI shapes the magnetic field within the field of view to maintain linearity and uniformity constraints while being thermally stable.
- Single-sided projected field of view,
- Thermally stable
- Non-uniform field
- Built-in gradients
Promaxos MRI weaves together revolutionary technologies allowing for image quality that is comparable to conventional standard-of-care MRI systems.
- High SNR
- Compressed sensing
- Hybrid non-fourier reconstruction
- Full data backup for offline review and analytics
Reduce Time to Scheduling
Most private practices send patients requiring MR scan to external imaging centers or hospitals. This results in long wait-time for patients and physicians to schedule a scan and a follow-up visit. Critical time is lost in making qualified decisions while causing significant anxiety for patients and their families.
Lucrative Return on Investment
Existing CPT codes combined with low capital expenditure and operating costs for the system provide the clinics the capability to own and utilize the MRI system in an office-setting. Depending upon the type of practice, the entire capital cost may be recovered in less than a year.
Superior Patient Experience
Promaxo MRI system has an open configuration and does not require patients to be inside an enclosed gantry. The patients are not subjected to loud knocking noises making it a comfortable and convenient imaging experience. The physicians can completely control the quality of care to their patients within their practice and the patients do not have to travel back and forth to external imaging facilities.
Platform Technology
The system can be integrated with several image-guided interventions allowing use of live MRI for a large number of procedures. The system is compatible with conventional robotics and can adapt to live MRI-guided biopsies, treatment planning, robotic surgeries, radiation therapy, ablative treatments and potential drug delivery.
