Nanoimprinting is a cost-efficient alternative to conventional lithographic technology. We use nanoimprinting manufacturing technology to replicate micro- or nanometer-scale patterns from the high-resolution molds to the surface of a base substrate. The nanometer-scale design can be of resolution as high as 50nm (One-nanometer nm is one-billionth of a meter). We nanoimprint directly onto thermoplastic or polymer film, or on the resin which is bonded onto a rigid substrate. The rigid substrate can be a glass substrate, silicon wafer or other materials.

Nanoimprintining is a high precision, cost-effective and high throughput replication technology. The micro-and nanostructures imprinted on the flexible and rigid substrate can generate multivariate functionalities. Functionalities include super hydrophobicity, super hydrophilicity, anti-reflective with high optical transmission, anti-fogging with anti-UV transmission, etc.

Functional applications of nanoimprinting include patterned sapphire substrate for LED, sensors, solar cells, optics, microarray lens, microfluidic chips, sensors, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) lenses, flexible display and biomedical devices.
