Case study - automation of vehicle traffic & weighing processes
The modern STX 5000 & STX5000T terminals are widely used by various production and transport companies not only in Poland, but also around the world (e.g. in Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Oman, Chile, Hong Kong). The terminal integrated with weighing meters and other elements of the traffic control infrastructure allows for the automation of transport processes at the entry/exit to/from the production plant, guaranteeing cost reduction, shortening service time, increasing work safety and obtaining reliable and consistent data. Important effects of automation include also: increased vehicle traffic capacity (higher weighing efficiency) and full control over the flow of products, raw materials and goods.
Both models of terminals can be used as key elements of an integrated entry/exit controlling & weighing system consisting of: weighbridge, vehicle number plate recognition system (ANPR), camera for cargo space monitoring, LED traffic lights, barriers with induction loops & photocells, system controlling vehicle's position on the scale, LED board displaying messages to driver and - finally - software that manages & controls the system and records all data & operations.
Case study - automation of cement loading
We provided a comprehensive system of cement distribution and loading in Ożarów cement plant. The system runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and it is a critical element of the cement plant’s operation. The system supports management of 300 to 500 vehicle transports per day.
Case study - automation of loading & transport in mineral extraction
We implemented a weighing system for TRANSPOL LIDER Sp. z o.o. The main requirement of the system was to provide a solution enabling to control truck scales along with delivering central reporting to Headoffice of the Client and software unification in the Company's Branches.
Case study - management of waste from production
Customer requirements:
- Quantitative register of production waste
- Weighing of waste transported in crates by fork-lift trucks

GS Software company provided a weighing system based on tailor-made software of the GSW series. The RFID tags are necessary for identifying an operator, type of waste being weighed and a security guard. Collected weighing data are transferred & archived in central database. Additional dedictated software, designed for data registering and reporting, was provided. The system operates in a continuous cycle – 24h a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year.
Case study - automation of waste management
System for automation of waste management installed in Waste Management Plant consists of weighbridge, self-service terminals, RFID readers & cards, LED displays and printers for weighing tickets. The weighing system was also integrated with the company's accounting program.
Case study - automation of container transport
We delivered a truck scale weighing system to DCT in Gdańsk. The basic task of this system is supervision of the containers being weighed and sending information to the master ERP system.
Description:
- only previously notified transports are permitted to drive in to the port territory. Vehicle enters the weighbridge, first weighing is supported by STX 5000 terminal. After the weighing completion, the vehicle goes either for unloading or loading the containers.
- after loading or unloading container, vehicle returns to the weighbridge for second weighing. The driver enters required data using the terminal. Entered data are matched with the data provided at the entry gate (during first weighing). Once the data have been matched, information concerning the container’s weight are displayed on LCD monitor and weighing ticket is printed.
- all weighing data referring to specific container are automatically sent by e-mail directly to the customer (including photos taken on the scale).
Case study - automated system for truck weighbridges
Customer requirements:

Modified GSW software was delivered to the KNAUF company. Solution enables to connect the Customer’s weighing devices into one, central network. We adjusted the user interface to the requirements of the Company. Moreover, we provided a mechanism to connect the weighing software to the SAP system.
Case study - automated system for gas loading
Customer requirements:
- delivering software that enables to handle simultaneous gas loading operations at several weighing devices
- automation of process of gas loading
- adjustment of print-outs for the weighted gas register
We provided a modified version of the GSW software with a gas loading module. Print-outs and interface were adjusted in line with the Customer’s instructions.

Customer requirements:
- unification of truck weighbridge software in every branch of the Company
- direct connection between weighing device software and the Microsoft Dynamic NAV system
- introduction of mechanisms for controlling cohesion and correctness of data entered during weighing operations
We provided a customised software of the GSW series. The software embodied a developed mechanism of data synchronisation with a parent system and also controlling functions of data cohesion and correctness, typed in by service staff.

We delivered software of GSW series, tailored to every single need of the Customer. The software was customized for synchronized co-operation with various gas-loading systems and other devices used in weighing operations. The GSW software in GASPOL was integrated with parent system - Microsoft Dynamics AX.

We provided customised software of GSW series. The software contained a developed mechanism of data synchronisation with a parent system and also required controlling functions of cohesion and correctness of inputted data. Additional weighing posts were equipped with a mechanism for controlling truck’s location on the weighbridge (infrared barriers).
Case study - automated system for weighing of aluminium alloys
Customer requirements:
- development of weighing system that allows to weigh liquid aluminium alloys
- identification of a fork-lift truck driver, transporting the material being weighed
- development of tailor-made software to generate specific reports
- automatic export of weighing results to parent system
For Neapco company, we provided a specially adjusted software of the X-Scale series, meeting all requirements of the Company. The system allows for staff identification (RFID cards & self-service terminals). Furthermore, we provided additional dedicated software that allows to browse weighing operations in the office and export weighing results to parent system.
Case study - system for recording weighing operations
Customer requirements:
- unification of the weighing system operating in construction companies of the Group
- automatic transfer of all data from every weighing device to Head Office
- delivering tool to prepare weighing reports for business intelligence
We provided a modified version of GSW software. The weighing system comprise mechanism for data synchronisation with SQL server located in the Head Office. Within the scope of the project, GS Software also delivered an application for automatic reports' preparation and online transfer all weighing data to central database.

Customer requirements:
- deliver an IT system allowing to manage the waste flow - from waste transport entering weighbidge at facility, through waste processing, to waste storage and/or selling product from recycled waste fractions.
- connect to central database used hardware: truck weighbridges, weighing conveyors, palette scales and the mixing and grinding devices.
- implement individual RFID employee cards integrated with weighing system
- sypply weighing stations with palette scales and mixing and grinding devices with self-service terminals for operators
We provided a complex weighing system, based on the GSW and X-Scale software. The system collects data from the weighbridges, weighing conveyors, palette scales, as well as mixing and grinding devices used for biomass production.
