TODA AMNIODIAG 5 Cassette -Rapid Screening Test Kit for Premature Rupture of Fetal Membranes
TODA AMNIODIAG 5 cassette ® is an immunochromatographic test on cassette allowing to detect the rupture of fetal membrane by highlighting the protein IGFBP-1 coming from the amniotic liquid of the pregnant woman. The test uses a pair of monoclonal antibodies that detect the protein from a vaginal swab.
Detection of IGFBP-1 in vaginal swabs enables reliable diagnosis of premature rupture of membranes to avoid unnecessary hospitalization and costs. In addition, during a premature rupture of the membranes, the fetus is exposed to significant risks of infection, in particular to streptococcus B which can cause the death of the infant*.
