The BioCapture bioaerosol collector is the most advanced, lightweight bioaerosol collection system available.  It has been proven to collect SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus directly from air at concentrations readily detected by PCR.  BioFlyte recommends the BioFire® FilmArray 2.0 PCR platform from BioFire Defense for real-time, on-site coronavirus detection.  Sampling and analysis with the FilmArray can be completed in 1-2 hours, depending on the sampling period.  At 150-200 liters per minute, as little as 5 minutes of sampling can be sufficient in small spaces.  BioFlyte has demonstrated short sampling periods can be used to determine if an active spreader is in the room.
