Lape -Model ASPENse CAGE -Spine Implant
The ASPEN SE cage is a PEEK Optima cervical cage secured by a blade. It is the only secure cage that can be delivered pre-filled and has a disposable ancillary. Made of PEEK Optima, it has two gold radiological markers and is anatomically shaped. Retentive ridges give it primary stability. After having inserted the cage in the inter-somatic space, the blade is turned using a gripper / screwdriver which secures the implant. A primary stability is obtained limiting the possible risks of cage migration before the graft has taken. This securing is reversible allowing the ablation of the implant without risk of deterioration of the vertebral bodies.
The rotation mechanism is totally "low profile" (lessthen 1mm) and atraumatic. Provided with a large graft surface, it is delivered:
- Void that can be filled with autologous bone.
- Pre-filled with a two-phase ceramic insert (60/40). The insert developed specifically for the ACIFBOXSE– ASPENSE cage promotes bone fusion, shortens the operating time, and eliminates the risk of morbidity linked to the donor site. The cage is delivered filled with this insert, so it is ready to use without any additional gesture.

The ASPEN SE cage is the only secure cage on the market with a disposable ancillary device.
The disposable ancillary is a complete, sterile kit, comprising:
- Trial phantoms of all sizes
- The gripper for the phantoms
- The gripper / screwdriver allowing the cage to be inserted into the inter-somatic space and turn the securing wing
