Depending on customer requirements, the tools can be used to produce round or molded tablets, plain or with a dividing line, or with symbols, letters, or logos. Upon request, the compression portion of the punch or the entire punch can be coated with electroplating chrome or PVD coating.

Upon customer request, the dies can be provided with conical inlets on both sides of the hole, which considerably facilitate powder deaeration during the compression process, reduce tablet ejection forces after compression and decrease the tablet expansion rate, thus reducing the risk of tablet detachment.
