Sugammadex for Octasaccharide Derivative

Sugammadex is an octasaccharide derivative used for reversal of neuromuscular blockade induced by rocuronium bromide and vecuronium bromide in adults undergoing surgery. The encapsulation by sugammadex blocks the ability of the neuromuscular blocking agents to bind to nicotinic receptors in the neuromuscular junction and thereby reverses the induced neuromuscular blockade.
