
FARMO DUE -Model FD5 -Suppository Thermoforming Machine
The FARMO DUE FD5 is a versatile and compact thermoforming machine designed for the production of suppositories, capable of handling up to 5,000 units per hour. This machine is ideal for facilities with limited space and reduced production requirements, ensuring efficient operation without compromising on quality. It features a dual-reel forming system for precise cavity alignment and an immediately following strip-cutting process that streamlines inspection and enhances cooling tunnel efficiency. The machine's modular design encompasses three key modules: cavity forming with product dosing, a cooling tunnel for blister solidification, and top sealing with cutting. Equipped with a universal cavity forming system, it accommodates both plastic and aluminum materials, suitable for high-temperature or light-sensitive products. An advanced volumetric pump made of 316L stainless steel manages dosing up to 120°C, and a sophisticated OCV/OCR vision system maintains data accuracy. The platform also allows seamless integration with various cartoning systems for increased automation and productivity.
Our compact model is able to produce up to 5,000 suppositories per hour. Ideal for reduced production volumes, it adapts to smaller spaces.
FARMO DUE guarantees simultaneous forming of two reels to assure the perfect alignment of each cavity. Cutting in strips comes immediately after dosing, making inspection easier and facilitating the management and efficiency of the cooling tunnel. The “balcony” dosing area permits a full inspection of the process and facilitates cleaning procedures.
The dosing volume is automatically set by the operator panel, guaranteeing precision, maximum simplicity and quick format changeover.
The Farmo Due machines are both modular:
Module 1 - Cavity forming and product dosing.
Modulo 2 - Cooling tunnel for blister solidification.
Module 3 - Top sealing and cutting.
- Universal forming system to form cavities in plastic or aluminium, for high-temperature or light-sensitive products.
- System for centring the print on the cavity for pre-printed films.
- Dosing system with volumetric pump in 316L stainless steel that can dose products with a temperature up to 120°C.
- Modular cooling tunnel with adjustable temperatures in several stages in order to prolong the time the product remains and ensure slow and uniform cooling.
- System of coding variable data by using punches or inkjet printing + check of printed data with integrated “FARMO VISION” OCV/OCR vision system.
- Connection downstream with every type of automatic cartoning machine via traditional linkage or robotic systems to achieve the highest level of automation and efficiency of the packaging line.
