CalEssence - Model 70/80/300/450 -USP/ FCC Precipitated Calcium Carbonates
CalEssence Precipitated Calcium Carbonates (PCCs) are a family of ultra low-lead calcium carbonate products developed with enhanced purity for those manufacturers who need to meet the most stringent global requirements CalEssence PCC products contain less than 125 parts per billion lead, one of the lowest lead levels available for food and drug grade calcium carbonates in the United States.
The available CalEssence PCC grades range in size from 0.7 to 4.5 microns and have a variety of particle shapes resulting in a range of physical properties such as surface area, tapped density and oil absorptioa These present the formulator multiple tools to optimize product performance and sensory qualities in a wide variety of consumer products.
CalEssence PCC products are suitable for use in pharmaceuticals including calcium antacids, nutritional supplements, chewable and swallowed tablets, soft chews, lozenges, effervescents, vitamin/mineral premixes and gums They are also utilized in food and beverage applications such as cereals, baked goods, nutrition and snack bars, dairy products, liquid meal supplements, and powdered drink mixes. The CalEssence PCC products feature a high calcium content and high bioavailability providing the ability to use lower loadings than other calcium sources, and making them an economical option to achieve desired calcium fortification.
CalEssence PCCs meet or exceed the requirements for Calcium Carbonate of the current United States Pharmacopeia. All CalEssence PCC family products are affirmed GRAS and also meet NF, FCC, and EU 170i purity standards, and are Kosher and Halal certified, Gluten Free, Organic, Natural, and Vegan.
