Alcohol Repellant (AR) & Antistatic Treated (AS) – High Barrier, Single-Use SMS fabrics, commonly referred to as AR – AS Treated SMS fabrics, are produced by chemically treating SMS fabrics with Alcohol Repellent & Antistatic chemicals. These fabrics are used for producing surgical gowns and drapes, which need to deliver high level of protection in surgical environments & user comfort to Surgeons, Nurses, Patients & Healthcare workers.
The manufacturing process for producing AR-AS Treated SMS fabrics essentially consists of two processes:
- Spunmelt Process
- Offline Treatment Process
AR-AS Treated SMS Fabrics can be produced typically, with two AR levels, AR 7 & AR 9.
