Vision-MR Ablation Catheter

SHARE

The Vision-MR Ablation Catheter contains patented technology that allows it to be used while the patient is being actively scanned in the iCMR.  Only MRI can visualize each patient’s individual cardiac substrate and disease progression, allowing physicians to tailor the treatment to each patient’s unique disease state while using the Vision-MR Ablation Catheter.

Radiation Free
As the MRI is a radiation-free environment, physicians and staff are not required to wear heavy lead protective garments, potentially preventing occupational injuries and bodily strain.
Familiar

Designed to look, feel and function like a traditional ablation catheter.

Individualized Treatment

With real-time MRI, physicians can individualize the ablation for each patient’s unique cardiac structure and substrate. In addition, they can assess lesion quality and fill gaps in the ablation during the initial procedure, allowing physicians to tailor the treatment to each patient’s unique disease state.

  • Single-use RF ablation catheter
  • 9 Fr. bipole irrigated-tip ablation catheter with two MR receive coils in the distal end for active MR tracking
  • Functionality includes Active MR Tracking and fibre optic tip temperature sensing capabilities
Study Results:
Safe and Effective for Use to Treat Type 1 Atrial Flutter
Principal Investigator: Gerhard Hindricks, MD, PHD · Study Performed at Leipzig Heart Center
Study Objective

Evaluate the safety and performance of the Vision-MR
Ablation Catheter for the treatment of type I atrial flutter.

Study Design
Non-randomized, single arm cohort study. No randomization or stratification of the study population.
Study Results

The analysis of the Vision-MR Ablation Catheter protocol endpoints for safety and performance demonstrates a reasonable assurance of the safety profile and performance for the Vision-MR Ablation Catheter.
