Antigen Design and Protocol Review
Prior to beginning any monoclonal or polyclonal development project, you have the option of meeting with LAMPIRE's scientific staff for consultation on antigen design and immunization protocol. Using computer-aided technology, LAMPIRE scientists will analyze peptide sequences relevant to your target antigen and review with you the predicted immunogenicity. This service is provided free of charge and aids us in selecting the appropriate immunization protocol for your antigen. While we cannot guarantee every peptide sequence will generate an immune response in the host animal, this service has proven very successful in maximizing the success of each antibody development project
Antigen Conjugation Services
To improve immunogenicity, certain antigens may require coupling to a larger molecule. These antigens may be coupled to KLH, LLH, OVA, BSA, or other requested proteins. Coupling methodologies include EDC and Glutaraldehyde.
Species Specific Services
Each animal model is unique but LAMPIRE offers special services for each of our projects including buffy coats (PBMCs), Splenectomies, Splenocyte Isolations, Production Bleeds, Plasmapheresis, Egg Collections and processing and many others. Please ask your Project Manager about any species specific services you need.
Antibody Characterization/QC Testing
LAMPIRE offers several services to help evaluate the purity, concentration, and specificity of your antibody including Immunoelectrophoresis, Western Blot, HPLC, SDS-Page, BCA Total Protein Assay, Bradford Total Protein Assay as well as ELISA testing. These tests can be useful in measuring and tracking the concentration of antibody in culture supernatants, bleeds or purified materials. Note: Cost per project will vary based on the frequency of testing and type of test. Please note, additional antigen may be required
Antibody Purification
LAMPIRE offers a variety of purification services to complement your antibody project. From salt fractionation to antigen-specific affinity chromatography, our expert staff will purify your antibody through multiple methods. Ask a technical expert which purification method is right for your project. Please specify if a dedicated column is required.
Antibody Tagging Services
Purified antibodies can be labeled for use in various applications. Consultation with our scientific staff will assist you in selecting the reporter group and coupling chemistry best suited for your applications. Including Biotin, Colloidal Gold, Fluorescein Isothiocyanate (FITC) and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP).
Egg Yolk Processing
Chicken immunoglobulin yield quickly declines unless yolks are stored in buffer. LAMPIRE offers the additional service of separating the yolks and storing them in buffer. Yolks treated as such can then be shipped to the client for long-term storage at 2-8°C.
