Legionella & Dental Practices Services
FromCLIRA Ltd
All dental practices, both NHS and Private, must be registered with the Care Quality Commission by April 2011. Part of this includes the HTM01-05; which requires you to have a full Legionella Risk Assessment. ACOP L8 (Approved Co The control of Legionella bacteria in water systems also deals with ‘other risk systems’). Therefore with reference to a dental practice, L8 applies not only to the usual taps, toilets etc but also to Dental Unit Water Lines (DUWL). Following the publication of HTM 01-05 ‘Decontamination in primary care dental practices’ and HTM 04-01 – ‘The Control of Legionella, hygiene, “safe” hot water, cold water and drinking water’ all dental water systems must be surveyed. Most popular related searches
