Acid Fast Stain: Tissues, aspirates, exudates, body fluids, feces in a sterile leakproof container; shipped chilled overnight.Impression smears (skin lesions) on slide within a slide folder.
Aerobic Culture: Affected tissue, lesion, fluid aspirate or swab in bacterial transport media - ship CHILLED
Anaerobic Culture: -Fluid aspirate inoculated into anaerobic transport media vials for liquid specimens(Cary-Blair, e.g. BBL™ Port-a-cul™ or Anaerobic Systems ATM-Fresh tissue (>2-3 cm in diameter, minimum size)-Swab or small tissue collected and immediately placed in anaerobic transportmedia tube for swabs(Cary-Blair, e.g. BBL™ Port-a-cul™ or Anaerobic Systems ATM) - ship CHILLED
Fecal Culture: Feces in a leakproof container; shipped chilled overnight.
Fungal Culture: Feces, urine, tissues, aspirates, and fluids are accepted. Samples are checked weekly and incubated for a total of 30 days before a result of no-growth is confirmed.
Gram Stain: Tissues, aspirates, exudates in a sterile leakproof container; shipped chilled overnight.Impression smears on slide within a slide folder.
