qSPECT - Single-Photon Emission Computed Tomography Software
CereScan’s advanced software, CereMetrix®, uses the SPECT datapoints to create 3D pictures of the brain and measure blood flow levels in up to 120 regions of the brain to pinpoint areas of statistically hypo (decreased) and hyper (increased) blood flow. We call this process Brain qSPECT® (quantitative SPECT), and it represents the gold standard in statistically measured brain functionality.

Single-photon emission computed tomography (qSPECT) is a type of nuclear imaging procedure that uses a radioactive substance (99mTc-HMPAO) and a special camera to capture millions of datapoints per imaging session. This procedure is primarily used to track blood flow in the heart, brain and bones.
If the results from your imaging look like grayscale x-rays or “cartoonish” in color, you are not getting the full capabilities from SPECT!
