EndoGastric Solutions physician training program is designed to promote the safe and efficacious use of the EsophyX device during the TIF 2.0 Procedure and consist of the following four modules:

Module 1
1.5 hour didactic lecture given by EGS Faculty member reviewing patient selection, steps of the TIF 2.0 procedure, procedure indications and contradications and an overview of our training program.
Live case(s) observation. This module can be conducted in person or remotely. Topics to be discussed include patient positioning, room set up, device preparation, steps of the procedure, diagnosis of hiatal hernia and pre and post op EGD.
Approximately 3 hour didactic lecture led by a EndoGastric Solutions Clinical Training and Education Manager (CTEM). The training can be conducted virtually or live (preferred) and covers NP02476-01, EsophyX Device Training Course Manual.
Approximately 1.5 hours of live hands-on procedure simulation. Procedure simulation is conducted on an EGS inanimate training model and includes a comprehensive review of device preparation, device insertion, tissue manipulation, fastener placement and device removal.
Upon successful completion of the training program (M1-M4) a certificate of completion will be issued and maintained by EndoGastric Solutions in Salesforce™.
EndoGastric Solutions personal will also provide in-service training to operating room and other relevant hospital staff. The first two initial procedures (Go-Live procedures) must be attended by an EndoGastric Solutions CTEM. Additional case support is recommended and can be provided by a member of the EGS Sales or Clinical Training team.
Physicians are to be retrained if they have not performed a procedure with a 12 month period. Retraining includes the completion of at least Modules 3 and 4.
