DNV has launched a new certification designation that promotes the reduction of infection risk in hospitals through an innovative assessment process called Managing Infection Risk (MIR). This training describes how healthcare organizations can build successful systems for risk reducing outcomes. This is a risk-based, management systems approach, designed to enhance the culture of the hospital to minimize healthcare associated infections and associated costs. This training will include an overview of the standard, associated subject areas and requirements. Participants can also learn how to apply for this survey designation and ability to become a DNV Centre of Excellence.
Who Should Attend:
The workshop is geared towards a multidisciplinary team, including infection preventionist professionals, nursing / physician leaders, risk managers, facility managers, life safety staff, patient safety managers, microbiologists / epidemiologists, and quality / accreditation managers.
Course Highlights:
Each of the 18 elements of the standard will be presented, along with concrete examples for compliance.
