Visuomotor Simulation Training
Action Observation – Motor Imaging – Mirror Therapy. For many years, several research teams have been uncovering specific visuomotor neurons that are involved both in the vision and action planning but also in the production of movement. Vision and movement are closely related: same specific areas of the brain are activated when you see or make a movement. Every time we observe somebody performing a movement, our brain simulates instantly and without effort this same movement. Such process supports rehabilitation.
