By using this adapter, ENFit syringes can be directly filled in a closed system and connected to feeding tubes to help lower the risk of external contamination. Alternatively, the adapter enables the direct connection of containers to feeding tubes which may help save nursing time. What’s more, the adapter can ease the mixing of syringe content by allowing the connection of two syringes together. As with all ISO 80369-3 ENFit® connectors, this adapter is designed to be IV incompatible to promote patient safety by helping to avoid accidental misconnections.
