Floss Handling Device Demonstration - Video
Over the past 200 years there have been many meaningful advances in dental floss technology. However, there have been very few commercially successful innovations that have improved the usability of dental floss. Furthermore, many of these devices, while appearing visually alien when compared to standard dental floss, also don't allow for standard ADA flossing practices to be followed, thus bringing into question their clinical efficacy.
MedSpark's client invented an assistive device that improves the usability of dental floss by providing the user much greater control over the loose ends. The devices can be attached by the user onto a customizable length of dental floss, wherein easier, quicker, and more comfortable flossing is facilitated. The device supports American Dental Association (ADA) flossing procedures and habitual/ingrained techniques preferred by each user. MedSpark adapted the genius of our client's idea into an easy to use form factor and developed dispenser technology to allow for improved usability and portability. Patents Pending.
