The Early Years
With the start of Enabling Technologies came the opportunity for product innovation across the market. Woody first set out improving the cumbersome outriggers used by skiers to balance and turn. At the time, a pair of outriggers could
weigh up to 14lbsand were composed of many moving parts requiring constant adjustment. Utilizing state of the art injection molding and lightweight aluminum tubing, Enabling Technologies was able to reduce outrigger weight by 78%. The new "Superlites" hit the market weighing in at 3lbs with increased durability. Now the outrigger of choice for Paralympians, programs, and recreational skiers alike, Superlites are the most widely used outriggers in the world.

The next advancement came about with the need for a seating system that reacted like a standup skier`s boot. Woody`s seat design allowed sit-skiers to transfer upper body movement directly to the ski. The glove seating system was named because of customers` remarks that the seat "fits like a glove"! With input from ski programs, the seat was designed to have the safety features and feel of a custom seat without the added expense.

In the late 80`s and early 90`s adaptive skiing programs were on the rise worldwide. With their growth arose a need for a ski system that could allow a wider range of disabled individuals to hit the slopes. The Bi-Unique was designed to bridge the user gap and allow individuals that couldn`t enjoy the freedom of a mono-ski to tackle the mounta ins. Utilizing a more stable skiing platform, the Bi-Unique has helped people all over the world experience skiing, and remains the gold standard for ski programs around the globe.

Branching Out
Not one to focus on a sole project at any one time, Woody launched the Superlite Crutch line in the mid 90`s. Utilizing the same technology as Superlite Outriggers, Superlite Crutches were designed to provide state of the art technology for long-term
crutch users. Since 2000, Enabling Technologies has also been offering superior strength/lightweight titanium crutches. The quality of Superlite Crutches has been enjoyed over the years by many including the likes of former President Bill Clinton, and Olympic Gold Medalist Picabo Street.

Present Day
What began as a side project in the back of a wheel shop has grown into the company you see today. Enabling Technologies latest product, the Dynamique has received industry acclaim for its unparalleled design. Instructors and skiers alike are
enjoying an improved bi-ski experience because of its unprecedented load height and unique tension-ed load system. The design team did not stop at the chair lift when rethinking the way a bi-ski should work. The Dynamique features a suspension design resembling that of a mono-ski with a high performance shock absorber to boot. Combine those features with a redesigned flex pattern on the Mega III bi-skis and you`ll understand why the Dynamique is an unbounded bi-ski.
