OmniLyse®X device – The top-loading 2 mL tube design offers fast lysis of up to 1
mL of sample in 3-5 minutes and can be used directly with difficult matrices such
as stool and soil (up to 200 mg), or with swab tips. This device can be used for
batch processing of hard-to-lyse organisms using the supplied aliquot of beads
along with 6V processing (use the supplied filter tip and syringe to remove lysate
from beads). When lysis beads are not used, this device can also provide effective
disaggregation of tissues at lower voltages of 3V or 1.5V (more gentle).
