Nitrogen is used in various soldering processes to manufacture electronic components. The on-site generation of the inert gas saves enormous costs. INMATEC customer Applied Micro Electronics (AME) uses a combination of nitrogen generators and hydrogen technology in its plant in Holland. This way nitrogen can be generated with extremely low compressed air requirements for the ERSA selective soldering machines. In addition, the waste heat generated by the compressed air generators is used to heat the warehouse. In this way, AME saves costs to a significant extent and reduces its CO2 footprint for the benefit of the natural environment.
