The first Ambee product was built to find out why an infant was getting breathless after moving to a new neighborhood. To understand, co-founder Madhusudan built an air quality monitor which showed elevated level of air pollutants in the area - much higher than the average air quality of the city. This helped save the infant’s life. It also helped realize the impact timely, hyperlocal and accurate environmental data can make in changing outcomes.
