About us
Quality management
As a high-tech company, we consider it our duty to meet highest standards in quality management. The company is certified according to ISO 13485 and meets the European medical device directive 93/42/EEC, Appendix II requirements. The ISO norm essentially requires the consistent orientation of the organization to the core processes inside and outside the company. These include, for example, innovation processes, all the flows in manufacturing, from procurement management through to delivery, as well as all after-sales activities. The organizational streamlining of the entire company and the swift reaction to customer needs are the main goals. In addition, the external relationships of the company were optimized and oriented closely to specific customer groups. The successful implementation of these requirements is periodically verified by numerous national and international authorities, such as TÜV, FDA and Anvisa.
Jena Optical Valley
Asclepion Laser Technologies has assumed a leading role in the scientific optics industry, where it collaborates actively with researchers from top German universities. In fact, since 1846, the city of Jena has been the global home of the Zeiss optics industry, an avant-garde field in the development of new products and highly specialized instruments for medical, astronomic and technological research.
Today, the Thuringian companies based in Jena provide latest generation technologies for industries all over the world. Among these, Asclepion assumed a leading role in 1984 when it introduced the Argon laser for the treatment of vascular lesions in the eyes, then several years later launched MCL29, the first Erbium laser for dermatology and aesthetic applications worldwide.
Jena is also the town where the well-known Friedrich-Schiller-University is located, which has been closely with the companies in the area for years.
