Axial3D
Axial3D’s vision of making patient-specific surgery routine is made possible by our software platform that automatically converts all 2D imaging currently being used in a patient`s surgical care pathway into incredibly precise, clinically relevant 3D images and supporting diagnosis data to vastly improve their standard of care. Through the entire patient`s care pathway from planning to diagnosis and then to treatment, our technicians will be at the core.

Welcome
100 million surgeries are performed each year around the world. Our mission is to make every surgery bespoke rather than 'best-fit'.
We’re the leaders in AI-based segmentation to create patient-specific 3D imaging and modeling. Using 3D anatomical models is proven to enhance pre-operative planning, reduce time and costs, and improve the patient consent process.
> 1 billion
MRI, CT scans and X-rays are analyzed for surgical planning each year
> $20 billion
costs due to surgery error per year
53%
physicians change their surgery plan when they use Axial3D models
62 minutes
reduced time in surgery when a medical 3D model is used in pre-operative planning
16%
reduced recovery time for patients when a 3D anatomical model is used in treatment
92.5%
of physicians believe using medical 3D models results in better planning, diagnosis and treatment
Our Mission
Our mission is simple — to make patient-specific care routine.
Physicians globally trust Axial3D to deliver patient-specific surgical solutions with our innovative software and expert services.
Our Vision
Making patient-specific surgery routine
Axial3D’s vision of making patient-specific surgery routine is made possible by our software platform that automatically converts all 2D imaging currently being used in a patient's surgical care pathway into incredibly precise, clinically relevant 3D images and supporting diagnosis data to vastly improve their standard of care. Through the entire patient's care pathway from planning to diagnosis and then to treatment, our technicians will be at the core.
Our mission is to improve surgery for patients globally
Our mission is to make patient-specific 3D models and 3D images easily accessible and affordable to physician teams globally, through the use of our AI-driven Segmentation-as-a-Service™ technology to transform the care of their patients. Making each plan, diagnosis and treatment associated with a surgery bespoke to that patient to vastly improve their standard of care.
Plan, Diagnose and Treat
Precision 3D imaging and printing sets a new standard of care for surgical planning that is not possible using conventional 2D MRI and CT imaging. When used for planning complex surgeries, our surgeons tell us that, when they use our 3D images and models:
- In over 50% of cases, they change the plan for surgery;
- The resulting surgery takes on average 62 minutes less time;
- The patient spends on average 16% less time in the hospital.
Axial3D is focused on providing a rich set of measurements for each patient. These measurements are all selected by our physician customers for their specific surgical needs for the specific patient conditions that they treat. Axial3D will provide a 3D image along with key information, such as:
- Diameter at occlusion
- Length to occlusion
- Length of occlusion
The potential for patient-specific implants, whether those be hip replacements or vascular stents, offers tremendous potential for transforming surgical outcomes.
Axial3D works with an increasing number of the world’s leading and most innovative up-and-coming medical device companies to create incredible patient-specific devices. Axial3D’s Segmentation-as-a-Service™ allows device companies to create patient-specific devices for all of their patients at the scale that is required, at the precision required, and at a price that is affordable for all.
Founder`s Message
“At Axial3D we are on course to transform the quality of care hospitals can provide globally, by enhancing existing practices, giving their clinicians easy access to patient-specific 3D models and images for surgical planning, deriving data and analysis to accelerate and allow for more accurate diagnoses and enabling the use of patient-specific guides and implants for their patients’ treatment.
All offerings we provide are designed to help make real a personalized treatment path for each individual patient, improving their care while subsequently reducing resource burden on the hospital, the care team, the payer and most importantly the patient and their family.”
