Bergen Water & Sewerage Works

Bergen Water and Sewerage Works is owned by the municipality of Bergen, Norway. It provides the 220,000 inhabitants of Bergen with public water supply and sewerage services. The water supply is based on surface water and all ordinary supply complies with EU requirements. The sewerage service is based on primary treatment plants with outlets to the fjords. Important objectives from our strategic plan are to upgrade our treatment plants with secondary treatment and to maintain a high level of renovation and renewal of the sewer system.
