The parent company is also the manufacturing unit of boneArtis Group, founded in 2009 and based in Brunnen at the lake of Luzern, Switzerland. The company is family owned. The Munich based subsidiaries, boneArtis AG and medArtis AG are responsible of the global sales for the boneArtis Group and for the Groups Medical approval processes. The boneArtis Group is closely associated with the applied research center ZOW Munich (Center of Orthopedic Sciences) to stay on top of the scientific development. Based on the combination of molecular biology and innovative ceramics boneArtis developed smart products for joint and bone reconstruction.

A proprietary ceramic injection molding process for manufacturing was developed as well. More than 40 patent families protect the boneArtis product and process portfolio. FDA clearance and CE approval have been completed. A new manufacturing site (shown aside) started operations in 2013 to increase the capacity and shorten production times.
