The paediGAV is the first pediatric valve for the treatment of pediatric hydrocephalus that works in a position-dependent manner and thus offers more protection against overdrainage complications.

The DUALSWITCH-VALVE is the first MIETHKE valve. It was first implanted in 1995 at the Charité hospital in Berlin and quickly achieved very good results in clinical studies.

The SHUNTASSISTANT 2.0 proves its strengths above all in partnership with other valves. Here, for example, it can be combined with a differential pressure valve to provide efficient overdrainage protection.

The miniNAV was developed with the aim of offering the smallest possible valve with solid drainage control and at the same time avoiding the well-known problems such as blockage and dependence on subcutaneous pressure.

The GAV 2.0 is the consistent further development of the proven GAV and paediGAV and like its predecessors, it operates position-dependent and consists of a differential pressure and gravity unit. The GAV 2.0 must always be implanted parallel to the body axis for optimal function. It then automatically adapts its opening pressure to the different body positions of the patient and can thus meet the different requirements of a shunt system in lying and standing positions and, above all, counteract the risk of possible overdrainage in the upright body position.
