CoreMap Inc.
CoreMap exists to improve patient outcomes by delivering advanced diagnostic technology to electrophysiologists and patients. Our technologies will allow for patient specific treatments, because when treating the 24M patients with permanent and persistent AF ‘one size does not fit all’. CoreMap is a privately funded company founded in 2016. We are based in Vermont, with offices in Massachusetts and Vermont. The CoreMap technology was invented by Dr. Peter Spector, a practicing clinical electrophysiologist.

What is AF?
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a quivering or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) that can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications. Normally, your heart contracts and relaxes to a regular beat. In atrial fibrillation, the upper chambers of the heart (the atria) beat irregularly instead of beating effectively to move blood into the ventricles. If a clot breaks off, enters the bloodstream and lodges in an artery leading to the brain, a stroke results.
