DAESSY M-Series Mounts

Mini Folding Mount

The Mini Folding Mount, as the name suggests, folds the horizontal tube down to the outside. The folding joint between the two mount tubes performs a 2-step folding sequence to bring the tubes parallel. When folded and removed from the chair the Mini Folding Mount is a more compact unit for storage. The mount is non-directional and may be installed on either side of the wheelchair. The Frame Clamp Assembly is composed of a Frame Clamp Inner Piece and a Removable Frame Clamp Receiver (RFCR). The Inner Piece is clamped or bolted to the wheelchair frame while the Receiver holds the Vertical Tube. The mounted device is attached to a quick release plate, either directly or with use of a specific adapter, and attached to the Horizontal Tube of the mount assembly by means of a Quick Release Base that secures the device and allows for quick detaching of the device from the mount.

Mini Bent-Tube Mount

The Mini Bent-Tube Mount is a basic mount assembly. A single right-angle bent tube provides a simple support for a communication device or computer. The Mini Bent-Tube Mount is easily removed from the chair. The mount is non-directional and may be installed on either side of a wheelchair. The complete mount can be lifted out of the Frame Clamp Receiver and removed from the wheelchair leaving only the Frame Clamp Assembly attached to the wheelchair frame.

Mini Adjustable Mount

The Mini Adjustable Mount has several points of adjustment to setup and position the mount. Two rotating joints can be angled and twisted in numerous directions to adjust the `horizontal` tube position. This mount is supported on the wheelchair by a Frame Clamp Assembly permanently attached to either the left or right side of the wheelchair.

DAESSY Mounting System

Rigid Mount

The Rigid Mount ROP Version is similar to the standard Rigid Mount, but is connected to the wheelchair with a Removable Frame Clamp Assembly. The Removable Outer Piece and Receiver (ROP & RFCR) that allow the Mount assembly to be locked in place replace the standard Outer Piece and Index Clamp (UFCOP & IC1). The ROP Version allows for attachment to Tilting Seat Systems and installation beyond 15° from vertical. Additionally the mount can be quickly removed from the wheelchair. This Mount is non-directional and can be attached to either side of the wheelchair with the same components.

Rigid Mount

The DAESSY Rigid Mount (DRM1) provides a simple but highly adaptable and adjustable support structure for Mounting laptop computers or communication devices on wheelchairs. The Mount consists of two lengths of tube Rigidly connected to form a right angle structure. The Mounted device is attached to a horizontal tube crossing the wheelchair and supported by a vertical tube in a clamp that is permanently attached to the wheelchair. Both left or right-hand Mounting are possible and the Mount can be precisely positioned for accessibility by the user. The device may be quickly detached from the Mount, and to allow unimpeded access to the user the Mount may be lifted up completely out of the frame clamp or it may slightly lifted and swung to the side. All common wheelchair frame tube sizes, shapes and orientations can be accommodated. Variations can be made in the length and shape of the tubes, and in the other parts, to adapt the Rigid Mount to any wheelchair.
