Inguinal and Abdominal Hernias - Inguinal Hernias
Hertra - Pre-Shaped, Rigid and Semi-Rigid, Polypropylene Monofilament Meshes
The rigid and semi-rigid pre-shaped Hertra® 1, 2, 2A meshes are used to repair inguinal hernias in open surgery. They are easily and rapidly positioned as a result of their rigidity and shape-memory features. For this reason, Hertra® 1, 2 and 2A meshes can also be inserted without sutures or other fixing methods. They are the original meshes designed for tension-free inguinal repair according to Trabucco’s “tension-free, sutureless” method.
Hertra - Pre-Shaped, Lightweight Polypropylene Monofilament Meshes
The lightweight pre-shaped Hertra® 6 and 6A meshes are used to repair inguinal hernias in open surgery. They have high porosity and low weight. The Hertra®6 mesh is indicated for male inguinal hernia repairs. The Hertra®6A mesh is used for repairing female inguinal hernias.
Hertra - Pre-Shaped, Quadraxial Knitting Polypropylene Monofilament Meshes
Hertra® 9 and Hertra® 9A pre-shaped meshes are used to repair inguinal hernias in open surgery and are knitted with quadriaxial technology, a process created and developed by Herniamesh to make lightweight yet strong prostheses. The Hertra® 9 prosthesis is used to treat the male inguinal hernia. The Hertra® 9A mesh is used to repair female inguinal hernias.
Hybridmesh - Semi-Absorbable Mesh
A partially absorbable prosthesis for treating inguinal hernias. Hybridmesh® is a quadriaxial co-knitted mesh with 25% of non-absorbable polypropylene (PP) monofilament and 75% of absorbable polylactic acid (PLLA) monofilament. The prosthesis weighs 80 g/m². The polylactic acid filaments give the mesh the right level of rigidity for quick and easy positioning. After the polylactic acid filaments have been fully absorbed (in approximately 7-10 months), the residual polypropylene mass weighs just 20 g/m², leaving a soft, light and comfortable mesh implant.
