We are a R&D based Company with an outstanding knowledge of micro mechanization with the capacity of embedding new mechanical movements with electronics and software, improving the traditional medical devices that have been used during decades unchanged, just as they were born. We apply technology to medical devices with two concrete objectives: Make huge advances on MIS, Transfer of all benefits of robotic surgery to the surgeon’s hands. As a final achievement we reach our objective to offer a new advance for Laparoscopic Surgery. Since its creation, and during more than 40 years of use of rigid laparoscopic instruments, only expensive robots could achieve the goal of articulated jaws. Now at iMM GmbH, we consider that as Ford model “T” has democratized the access to the car at the beginning of last century, we will form part of the future of the handheld articulated laparoscopic instruments, putting in the hands of the surgeons the features of the robotic surgery.
