Foundation
Prof. Lugee Li is the founder and sole shareholder of Leader Biomedical Group. Originally a materials engineer, Prof. Lugee Li is the Founder and Chairman of Dongguan Eontec, a new materials and light alloy developer and manufacturer listed on the Shenzhen Stock exchange. In 2016, he acquired a majority interest in Liquidmetal Technologies, the leading developer of bulk amorphous alloys, also known as liquid metal or metallic glass. Prof. Lugee Li currently heads the Chinese Medical Magnesium Alloy Innovation Alliance; it is this initiative that inspired his entry into the field of medical devices.

2014: Acquisition of EMCM and formation of Leader Biomedical Group
Subsequent to the acquisition of EMCM, Leader Biomedical Group was formed with headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to support the future growth and strategy of the business.

2015: Establishment of LB Brazil and LB India
Leader Biomedical extended its reach with the establishment of Leader Biomedical Brazil in Sao Paulo to bring its line of bone cements to this region and Leader Biomedical India in Bangalore to improve the country’s access to Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty products.

2016: Further increase of Leader Biomedical Group’s global reach
In its pursuit to improving global access to innovative bone graft substitutes and extending the reach of patients and caregivers, Leader Biomedical establishes two more regional ventures with Leader Biomedical RUS in Moscow, Russian Federation and Leader Biomedical APAC in Selangor, Malaysia.

2017: Expansion into United States
In our commitment to further increase our downstream value chain and support our vision to continuously improve global access to next generation healthcare, Leader Biomedical Group establishes a venture with Leader Biomedical USA LLC in Schaumburg, USA, starting with the introduction of our patented eCOO® Technology.
