MetSense was founded in 2012 in Gothenburg, Sweden by Jörgen Bogren and Torbjörn Gustavsson. Since then MetSense brings innovative sensor solutions to the Winter Road Maintenance market. Our first two products, on the market since 2012, are MetRoad and MetRoad Mobile - sensors for single point stationary and mobile road surface status monitoring. In early 2019, we completed the design and development, manufacturability optimisation, and multi-winter testing of 2DRoad and MetSalt. Together, they form a novel weather station concept that we started marketing globally since 2020.
