At that time, the Milk Marketing Board offered free testing to any farmer who wished to submit samples. This ended in 1994 when the market was deregulated and the Board was dissolved.

The new co-ops and direct-sourcing milk processors placed more responsibility on farmers to ensure milk quality. Our market and reputation grew as farmers increasingly recognised the advantages of cow-side milk testing.
