With increasing demands in time and cost for research projects, the affordable, user-friendly staining kits play an important role for researchers to achieve their scientific breakthrough. The most recent new product, GolgiChrome™ kit is the first modified and commercialized version of the Golgi-Cox method that allows the simultaneous staining of the metal/silver impregnation and immunohistochemistry. This innovated method will help researchers able to simultaneously visualize (a) the structural detail, (b) the antigen’s characterization, (c) the anatomical interaction between discrete neuronal elements, and (d) the 3D reconstruction and modeling of the central nervous system (CNS).

This filtered and ready-to-use tissue fixative is freshly made with high-purity paraformaldehyde powder and saturated picric acid solution according to Zamboni and de Martino¹. This fixative has been proven to preserve generally better morphology and antigenicity compared to the phosphate-buffered 4% paraformaldehyde. This fixative may be stored at room temperature for at least one year without a change in the original quality.

The FD Section Storage Solution™ is a specifically formulated buffer solution that stays liquid at -20°C. It is ideal for the prolonged storage of free-floating fixed tissue sections. This solution has been proven to preserve the best morphology and antigenicity for cryostat and vibratome sections. Sections kept in this solution may be stored at -20°C for at least 5 years before processing for immunohistochemistry or routine histology.

NDT201 thionin solution, made from thionin certified by the BIOLOGICAL STAIN COMMISSION and with a step by step user`s manual printed on the bottle, is specifically designed for easy use in all types of laboratories. This solution is specifically formulated and extensively tested for the staining of nerve tissue. Thionin imparts a deep blue color to nuclear chromatin and Nissl substance. This solution is excellent for visualizing neuronal cell bodies and glia nuclei.

NDT202 cresyl violet solution, made from cresyl violet acetate certified by the BIOLOGICAL STAIN COMMISSION and with a step by step user`s manual printed on the bottle, is specifically designed for easy use in all types of laboratories. This solution is formulated and extensively tested for the staining of nerve tissue. Cresyl violet imparts a violet color to nuclear chromatin and Nissl substances. This solution is excellent for visualizing neuronal cell bodies and glial nuclei.
