Our story begins with a team of researchers at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, who accidentally discovered a unique physical phenomenon: Viscoelastic Focusing (VEF). The potential of VEF has been recognized by two entrepreneurs as the key to simplification and miniaturization of all cell counters. Followed by a decade of R&D, the first product that makes use of VEF, the HemoScreen™, is ready for action. PixCell is developing additional assays for the HemoScreen.
