Multiplex Assays - NHP Multiplex Kits
Q-Plex - Model 359233MB - NHP Anti-Inflammatory Panel 1 (7-Plex)
Inflammation is often a sign of the immune system protecting the host from infection or injury. Careful control of inflammatory pathways is crucial to the immune system not causing harm to the body. The Q-Plex NHP Anti-Inflammatory Panel 1 (7-Plex) provides reliable and sensitive data to accelerate your research. Q-Plex™ plates are built by adsorbing seven distinct capture antibodies in a defined array to the bottom of each well. Using only 25 µL of sample per well, up to 80 samples can be assayed for all seven markers in the panel within 4 hours.
Multiplex Assays - Porcine and Rat Multiplex Kits
Q-Plex - Model 119149PC - Porcine Cytokine HS (4 Plex)
The Q-Plex Porcine Cytokine HS (4-Plex) is a fully quantitative, ELISA-based chemiluminescent assay allowing concurrent measurement of cytokines in serum or plasma samples. A kit contains a 96-well plate, with each well featuring the 4-plex along with a positive control with all the other reagents necessary to perform the test. Our high-quality reagents help ensure the accuracy of your results. Using just 25 µL of sample per well, up to 80 samples can be assayed for all four markers in the panel in 4.83 hours. Q-Plex Arrays provide scientists with an easy-to-use and cost-effective means of generating a cytokine profile for each sample.
Singleplex Assays - Human Analytes
Q-Plex - Model GBP-28, apM1, AdipoQ, Acrp30 - Human Adiponectin Analyte
Adiponectin is a protein hormone generated by adipose tissue that is involved in glucose regulation and fatty acid breakdown. Though the hormone is produced by fat cells, its levels are reduced in obese individuals and increase with caloric restriction and weight reduction. In lean individuals, the adiponectin is produced by adipose tissue in bone marrow. Decreased adiponectin levels are associated with metabolic disorders, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, obesity, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, and atherosclerosis, as well as some cancers. Studies suggest that the hormone promotes the synthesis of HDL cholesterol and low levels of adiponectin are associated with high triglyceride counts. Treatment with adiponectin has been demonstrated to reverse insulin resistance in mice and administration of a combination of leptin and adiponectin has been shown to trigger weight loss.
Singleplex Assays - Mouse Analytes
Model CXCL-1 - Mouse Analyte
Mouse CXCL-1, also known as keratinocyte chemoattractant (KC) and GRO alpha, is a proinflammatory chemokine that plays a role in immune responses and many cancers. It is 64% sequence analogous to human GROα and performs similar functions in rodents. In the healthy immune system, CXCL-1 is produced by monocytes, epithelial cells, and fibroblasts in response to inflammatory activity. It induces neutrophil migration thought chemotaxis and has antimicrobial effects. It is also capable of promoting lymphatic tube and blood vessel formation within the circulatory system. In individuals with chronic inflammatory diseases, it is produced in high levels by many cell types. Abnormally high levels of CXCL-1 stimulate the growth of tumors and are particularly associated with melanomas due to its normal expression in epithelial cells. A frequent oncogenic culprit, it is often found up-regulated when tumor cells are present throughout the body.
Singleplex Assays - Rat Analytes
Q-Plex - Model Interleukin 4 (IL-4) - Rat Analytes
Interleukin 4 (IL-4) is a cytokine that has pleiotropic effects during active immune responses. Its primary role is to induce differentiation of helper T-cells and active B cells. IL-4’s other roles include regulating immunity, upregulating MHC class II production, supporting the proliferation of epithelial cells, and downregulating the production of Th1 cells, macrophages, and some lines of dendritic cells. IL-4 activates two different receptor complexes, one expressed on hematopoietic cells and another found on nonhematopoietic cells. IL-4 is primarily expressed by Th2-biased CD4+ T cells, mast cells, eosinophils, and basophils.
