SSIP - Endonasal Suction Tips
A purposefully designed suction tip that is intended for suction when entering through the natural sinus ostium, during functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS). The tip is olive shaped at the suction tip end for atraumatic entrance.
SSIP - Performed Sinus Catheter (PSC)
Used for postoperative placement into the maxillary sinus cavity in order to enable flushing of the patient during the first days after surgery. Studies show that patients who are regularly flushed after surgery heal faster and have less pain. This product can be placed in vivo for up to 96 hours. The PSC is placed be-fore you pack the nose, then you can leave it in. This means that it is possible to flush the patient without pain and replacing tubes/drain every time. This has a question mark shape that secures flushing towards the bottom of the maxillary cavity where most of the mucus normally collects.
