ARACUS - Model Advanced - Amino Acid Analyzer System

SHARE
The utilization of two pumps in the ARACUS "advanced" system enhances analytical efficiency. This upgraded version, derived from the ARACUS "classic," incorporates an extra pump drive. With the ability to concurrently analyze 96 samples within a cooled autosampler, this system stands out. The dual pump configuration allows for independent operations of two fluidic lines - one for the eluent side and the other for the reactive side. This setup markedly improves the signal-to-noise ratio in the chromatogram. Moreover, the adjustable parameters between the eluent and reagent pump drives offer flexibility, enabling the utilization of the reagent OPA (o-phthalaldehyde) for primary amine detection using a fluorescence detector. Additionally, the introduction of ninhydrin allows for quantitative analysis. To prevent cross-contamination, a specific washing routine for the injection valve and syringe pump is implemented.

Reliable analysis results for a wide range of applications
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of amino acids is required for a wide range of applications. Our ARACUS systems are designed for use in clinics, quality control, the pharmaceutical and food industry as well as in research. The ARACUS AA analyzers use the most precise and reproducable methodology, with which you can get up to 44 AA with an “Retention time reproducibility (RSD)” of  less than 0.1%. Choose your desired configuration with the aracus lite, classic and advanced – depending on the complexity of your amino acid analyses.

Amino Acid Analyzers for all major lab applications

  • Detectors with maintenance-free LED technology (440 & 570 nm) / no UV/VIS lamp degeneration and lamp exchange
  • Chloride-free and citrate-free buffer system / less aggressive to the components of the liquid handling tubes, fittings and connection
  • Small eluent consumption / about 200 µL/min in analysis mode
  • High sensitivity of amino acids / choice of two sensitivity detector levels
  • Level sensors for eluents / warn the user if needed fluidic volume is too low for planned analysis
  • Easy access to all components of the entire system
