ARACUS - Amino Acid Analyzer System

The ARACUS 'lite' offers a simplified configuration compared to the ARACUS 'classic,' catering to smaller sample volumes and tighter budgets. Tailored for reduced sample throughput and minimized eluent consumption, this configuration includes smaller eluent bottles, allowing convenient storage within the device and rack. Specifically designed for analyzing primary amino acids at 570 nm and both primary and secondary amino acids at 500 nm, the system provides efficient analysis. Moreover, an upgrade option is available, allowing for a dual-wavelength photometer with 440 and 570 nm. This upgrade involves the replacement of the pre-installed photometer

ARACUS - Amino Acid Analyzer System

The ARACUS 'classic' is the most used setup within our analyzer series, delivering versatile amino acid analysis across diverse applications. This configuration enables continuous analysis of 96 samples within a cooled autosampler. Through selective valve control, eluents and reagent solutions are precisely delivered and adeptly mixed. Incorporating ninhydrin allows for quantitative analysis, ensuring accuracy in results. To prevent cross-contaminations, a rigorous washing routine is implemented for the injection valve and syringe pump. Additionally, the system facilitates monitoring of individual reagent levels during operation, signaling the user in case of insufficience.

ARACUS - Amino Acid Analyzer System

The utilization of two pumps in the ARACUS "advanced" system enhances analytical efficiency. This upgraded version, derived from the ARACUS "classic," incorporates an extra pump drive. With the ability to concurrently analyze 96 samples within a cooled autosampler, this system stands out. The dual pump configuration allows for independent operations of two fluidic lines - one for the eluent side and the other for the reactive side. This setup markedly improves the signal-to-noise ratio in the chromatogram. Moreover, the adjustable parameters between the eluent and reagent pump drives offer flexibility, enabling the utilization of the reagent OPA (o-phthalaldehyde) for primary amine detection using a fluorescence detector. Additionally, the introduction of ninhydrin allows for quantitative analysis. To prevent cross-contamination, a specific washing routine for the injection valve and syringe pump is implemented.

The Amino Acid Analyzer ARACUS IVD is available in two configurations: the ARACUS IVD Classic and the ARACUS IVD Advanced. This choice depends on whether the customer prefers a single-pump or a dual-pump system.
