Depending on the mixer size, the drive units can be heavy and the available space under the vessel can be cramped. This increases the risk that service personnel will be injured or equipment will be damaged. Additionally, most pharmaceutical manufacturers try to avoid confined space entry. The Sterimixer Magnet Lowering Device allows service personnel to decouple the magnets and remove/install the impeller and male bearing without entering the tank or removing the drive unit from the tank.
