Quantum Blue - Model MRP8/14 - Serum Calprotectin- sCAL Kit

The BÜHLMANN MRP8/14 ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative determination of the heteropolymer of myeloidrelated protein MRP8/14 (Calprotectin, S100A8/S100A9) in serum.  The test allows the selective measurement of MRP 8/14- antigen by sandwich ELISA. A monoclonal capture antibody (mAb) highly specific to the MRP8/14 heterodimeric and polymeric complexes respectively, is coated onto the microtiter plate. A second monoclonal detection antibody (Ab) conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) detects the MRP8/14 molecules bound to the monoclonal antibody coated onto the plate after a washing step. After incubation and a further washing step, tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) will be added (blue color formation) followed by a stopping reaction (change to yellow color). The absorption is measured at 450 nm.

The Quantum Blue®  MRP8/14 lateral flow assay is a sandwich-type immunoassay for the quantitative determination of MRP8/14 in human serum in combination with the BÜHLMANN Quantum Blue® Reader.  The MRP8/14 assays by BÜHLMANN allow for precise and sensitive measurement of this important marker for research related to inflammation.  The test is designed for the selective measurement of MRP8/14 antigen by sandwich immunoassay. A monoclonal capture antibody which is highly specific for MRP8/14 is lined onto the membrane. A second monoclonal detection antibody conjugated to gold colloids is deposited onto the conjugate release pad and released into the reaction system after addition of the diluted serum. The antibody-gold-conjugate reacts with the MRP8/14 of the sample and then binds to the anti-MRP8/14 antibody which is lined onto the membrane (Test Line). The remaining free MRP8/14-gold-conjugate binds to the goat anti-mouse antibody which is lined onto the membrane(Control Line). The signal intensities of the Test Line and the Control Line, respectively, are measured quantitatively by the Quantum Blue® Reader.
